Descrição
The area around Ille-sur-Tête has a very varied landscape with the river Têt running in the middle and making a huge canyon. There is also forest, dry hills and agricultural land. In the forest you can find woodpeckers like Torcicolo, Pica-pau-verde (subspecies sharpei) and Pica-pau-malhado-grande. In the surrounding dry mediteranean hills you can find species like Toutinegra-de-cabeça-preta, Cuco-rabilongo, Cotovia-de-poupa and Corvo. This area can also be very good for spring migration with raptors like Águia-cobreira, Milhafre-preto and Tartaranhão-caçador.
The area itself is very beautiful with the nearby Orgues and can offer shade when it is too hot in the summer.
