The ponds of Étangs de Commelles are among the most remarkable areas of the Chantilly Forest. They are an integral part of a natural area of ecological, wildlife and floristic interest. The ponds occupy an area of about 40 hectares over a length of nearly 2.5 km and a width of 250 m. They are actually divided into four separate ponds. It is one of the most popular places to stroll in the Chantilly forest. A pleasant shady path of about 4 km allows you to walk around the four ponds and see many birds.

Français: Les étangs des Étangs de Commelles font partie des espaces les plus remarquables de la forêt de Chantilly. Ils font partie intégrante d'un espace naturel d'intérêt écologique, faunique et floristique. Les étangs occupent une superficie d'environ 40 hectares sur une longueur de près de 2,5 km et une largeur de 250 m. Ils sont en fait divisés en quatre étangs distincts. C'est l'un des endroits les plus prisés pour flâner dans la forêt de Chantilly. Un agréable sentier ombragé d'environ 4 km permet de se promener autour des quatre étangs et de voir de nombreux oiseaux.

The ponds are located 1.5 km from the centre of Coye-la-Forêt. They are accessed by the forest road of the ponds or from the crossroads of the Table, located on the D924A road between La Chapelle-en-Serval and Chantilly. Free access all year round.
