Col du Soulor is a good place for observing the migration of diurnal raptors. But the pass is also very interesting because of sedentary species such as Quebra-ossos and Grifo-comum. Very present on this site is also Águia-real and it is possible to see Abutre do Egipto here too. In the surrounding forests you can also see very interesting species of passerines such as Cruza-bico-comum, Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca or even Chasco-cinzento. There is also a bird migration counting post (1 on the map). Members of the "Oiseaux Cols Libres" association carry out a count of migrating birds. The autumn bird migration is particularly worthwhile here.

Français: Col connu pour être une étape du Tour de France. Col privilégié de passage pour la migration des rapaces diurnes, présence aussi d'espèces sédentaire très intéressantes comme le Quebra-ossos, le Grifo-comum très présent sur le site ou encore Abutre do Egipto ou encore Águia-real. On peut aussi observer dans les forêts alentours pleins d'espèces de passeraux très intéressantes comme le Cruza-bico-comum, le Rabirruivo-de-testa-branca ou encore des Chasco-cinzento. En été les membres de l'association "Oiseaux Cols Libres" réalisent un comptage des oiseaux en migration et vous aideront à voir cette faune.

Starting from Arrens-marsous or Arbéost, climb the pass. There is a parking lot. Press a P in the map to get directions to a parking. The pass is also accessible via the walking trail of GR10.
