Even though the pond is small and often filled with foliage during the hotter months, it's worth a look if you are in the area as it's possible to see some unexpected nice birds in the area. Water fowl like Pato-real and Marrequinha-comum have been seen feeding in the water with their young and Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo likes to hunt dragonflies and other insects in the area. Narceja-comum has been seen by the pond in spring time and a bit rarer sighting of a Pisco-de-peito-azul have been spotted there during the migration season.
