Ilveskorvenpuisto is a nice and accessible place for casual urban birding. The pond attracts a variety of duck species in summer and it's possible to see their young there too. You can see Pato-real, Marrequinha-comum and Merganso-grande. As the summer progresses, some birds make nests on the small island in the middle of the pond. Gaivota-parda and Guincho-comum are common but sometimes it's possible to see Alcatraz-comum too. Galinha-d'água has been seen at the pond in spring time too and the surrounding bushes provide hiding places for Pisco-de-peito-ruivo.
