Descrição
Suomenoja's (or Finno) bird pools were created as a result of human activity in the former Finnoonlahti Bay. The pools provide nesting environment for many bird species – including some rarities within Finland and the EU. The symbol of the area is the Guincho-comum. The area hosts the largest gull community in Southern Finland (estimated at 3,700 pairs) and the second largest in Finland. Other birds you can see here are Mergulhão-de-pescoço-castanho, Rouxinol-russo, Pato-olho-d'ouro, Felosa-dos-juncos and Maçarico-bastardo. And many more, see the birslist below.

There is a parking lot at the bird pools. Click on the P in the map to get directions. From the parking you can make a circular walk around the wetland (1,6 km) On the way you will pass two bird towers.
