The Bruksviken area is an important water bird area where many waterfowl nest during the summer. Migrating birds also like to rest here which offers a chance to spot a wide variety of birds in the area. Ganso do Canadá, Ganso-de-faces-brancas, Ganso-comum, Cisne-vulgar, Cisne-bravo, Marrequinha-comum and Garça-real can be seen during migration season and sometimes waders like Fuselo, Maçarico-real and Perna-vermelha-escuro stop by too. Garça-branca-grande and Falaropo-de-bico-fino have been sighted here a few times as well. During summer months there are cows grazing among the reeds as part of a program to keep the bay area open for birdlife.
