Sehel Island is a small island in the middle of the river Nile. The site is interesting for migratory birds. So the best time to visit is winter. Birds you can observe include Abelharuco-verde, Nile Valley Sunbird, Ganso do Egipto, Abibe-esporado, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Socozinho, Guarda rios malhados and Guarda-rios-de-papo-branco.
Chasco-do-deserto, Cegonha-preta and Garça-pequena have been observed during autumn migration.

Sehel Island is located in the river Nile between the town of Aswan and the Aswan Dam. The only access to the island is by boat. The place where boats cross the Nile to the island is marked with a star.
