Descrição
Habida Island is a low elongated island in the River Nile. The area I explored was the extreme south. This low lying area on the south of Habida Island has reed beds, beach and scrub, as well as woodland. Perfect for waders and birds associated with them. Among the bird you can observe are Pernilongo, Poupa, Garça-branca-pequena, Garça-roxa, Guarda rios malhados, Caimão-comum, Socó-taquari, Águia-pesqueira and Abelharuco-verde.

Acesso
The beach on the south end of Habida Island is used by traditonal Egyptian Faluccas on Nile Cruises. Some stop for the night here which will give you time to look around. Other than a Nile Cruise, the island is only really accessible by boat. Local farmers live on the island so please be respectful of them and their livestock.
