The Hanstholm Vildtreservat is one of the nice parts of the Thy National Park, but difficult to visit. The area has breeding populations of Tarambola-dourada, Maçarico-bastardo and Grou-comum. This hike provides some opportunities to see the Vildtreservat, although it is still rather distant. Most of the walk goes through forests, where some forest species can be seen.
