Lake Skarresø is a big lake surrounded by woodlands. In the southern part of the lake, there is a bird observation point. According to BirdLife Denmark (DOF), more than 140 bird species have been recorded around the lake. There is a good opportunity to see different birds of prey. The largest of them is the Águia-rabalva, which has been breeding at the lake since 2003. Among the other birds you can see in the area are Guarda-rios-comum, Zarro-negrinha, Pato-trombeteiro, Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Andorinha-do-mar-comum and Milhafre-real.
