Kværs Heath is an old wandering dune which has been stopped with the planting of trees. The area is a mix of trees, open spaces with heath and ponds. There is a chance to spot the increasingly rare chapim-montês. Among the other birds you can encounter are Picanço-de-dorso-ruivo, Picanço-grande, Pica-pau-verde, Pica-pau-malhado-grande, Pica-pau-preto, Chapim-de-poupa, Trepadeira-do-bosque and Estrelinha-de-poupa. The area has also been visited by Cotovia-pequena, Poupa and Quebra-nozes.
