The inaccessible island of Katholm can bee seen from the shore. It's not a long walk but the island draws a lot of nesting gulls and the shallow waters attracts some shorebirds as well. Among the birds you can see are gaivota-da-asa-escura, Alcatraz-comum, Gaivota-parda, Guincho-comum, Eider-edredão, Pato-olho-d'ouro, Pilrito-comum, Perna-vermelha-comum and Ostraceiro.
