The Krupa Monastery is one of the oldest Orthodox monasteries in Croatia. It has a lovely setting along the Krupa river. The river, grasslands, agricultural fields en wooded parts are attractive to birds. The vegetation along the river is a good place to search for chapim-sombrio. Other birds that you can encounter in the area are Trigueirão, Toutinegra-de-barrette-preto, Felosa-das-figueiras, Papa-moscas-cinzento, Papa-figos, Pintarroxo-comum and Toutinegra-carrasqueira.

The Krupa Monastery is located 70 km inland from Zadar. You can park right in front of the monastery. Click on the P in the map for directions. From the parking you can explore the area on foot along the roads.
