Finca Suasie is a great place for birdwatching. The landscape is the eastern side of the Andes Eastern montain range pointing to the "Llanos" of Colombia which makes to be a natural hallway for biodiversity coming from lower lands. There is a cloud or "fog" forest present at an altitude of 3100 meters in a sub-paramo ecosystem where you can find birds like Brown-breasted Parakeet, Black-billed Mountain-Toucan, Glowing Puffleg, Amethyst-throated Sunangel, White-capped Tanager, Coppery-bellied Puffleg and Undulated Antpitta. More than 200 species have been reported on eBird as permanent residents of the area.

Finca Suasie is located at the entrance gate to the Chingaza National Natural Park, only 2 hours from Bogotá. The farm is a natural reserve and offers food and lodging. The grounds of the finca are located at altitudes of 3,385 to 2,970 meters. There's parking service available for guests and you can get to the property with 4-wheel transportation of your own, hired or from rental.
All the walks in the area are made by foot and you can spend the night or stay just a few hours. Best times for birding are in the morning (starting at 6:00 am) and in the afternoon (starting at 4:00 pm).

Finca Suasie offers lodging and food (peasant culture kitchen under biosecurity standards). Within the farm you will have access to very easy trails to go bird watching and get in touch with the cloud forest. For the hikes it is recommended to wear waterproof clothing or a cape, as well as a warm garment. A pair of comfortable, waterproof boots/shoes is essential. For hiking, it is recommended to wear waterproof clothing or a layer, as well as a warm garment.
