The wetland complex and adjacent territories are a mosaic of different habitats supporting interesting bird species all year round. One of the main wintering sites for Ganso-de-pescoço-ruivo and one of the few in Europe breeding sites of Felosa-agrícola. Shabla Tuzla is important stop-over site for many migrating birds and especially for waders. In winter time Pato-de-rabo-alçado can be found there, and with some luck - Sisão, Falcão-sacre and other interesting species. You can observe the wintering geese from the road according to the places they land for feeding in the crop fields.

From the town of Shabla take the road 901 ti the East and 500 m after the town turn to the North-East and when reaching Camping Dobrudzha, turn to the South and will reach the Shabla Tuzla. It is possible to park the car there and make a walk. Sea-watcing possible from the Camping Dobrudzha.
