In this area migratory and wintering birds such as Ganso-de-bico-curto, Ganso-grande-de-testa-branca and Piadeira can be seen. Among the breeding birds in the area are Abibe-comum , Maçarico-de-bico-direito and Pato-branco.

Train to Bruges and then Bus 43 / Bruges - Damme - Oostkerke. By car: there is free parking space on the outskirts of the little town Damme. It takes only a short walk from the parking to reach the area. So from the parking you can walk or take a bicycle.
