Ducks an geese like Ganso-de-faces-brancas , Ganso-comum , Pato-branco , Pato-trombeteiro and Marrequinha-comum but also a lot of Guarda-rios-comum can be seen on the meadow and creeks all year around, roe deers are also often seen on the meadows.
in the winter there are less birds than in the rest of the year, but then you have a chance to see some more rare birds like Picanço-grande and Chapim-de-faces-pretas . In spring there is already more to see. Mergulhão-de-crista come back to breed, but also Alfaiate , Combatente , Colhereiro and many other birds come back. Garça-pequena and Socó-taquari are the rarer birds that breed in the polders of kruibeke.
During spring and autum migration you can see birds like the Águia-pesqueira and Águia-rabalva.
