Hohnbachtal is an area of cultural and natural history. It is a nature reserve with wetland, forest and open spaces. These varied habitats have created a diverse bird fauna. Soils contaminated with heavy metals due to earlier ore mining, hence interesting Galmeiflora. Parking along Lütticher Straße in Kelmis. Sturdy shoes are a good idea because it is often damp / muddy (except in summer). The path is narrow, partly steep, not barrier-free. On the map you see a circular walk of about 11 km. But you can also easily walk a shorter route.
