Broek De Naeyer is a nature reserve of 66 ha surrounded by water. The river Rupel flows to the north and the old channel arm of the Antwerp-Brussels sea channel runs to the west. Many birds, such as Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Colhereiro and Guarda-rios-comum find a breeding ground here or visit the area. You can admire them up close in two bird watching hides.

Nederlands: Broek De Naeyer is een natuurreservaat van 66 ha omgeven door water. Dit voormalig industriegebied groeide uit tot een waar paradijs voor watervogels. De rivier de Rupel stroomt naar het noorden en de oude kanaalarm van de zeegeul Antwerpen-Brussel loopt naar het westen. Veel vogels, zoals Corvo-marinho-de-faces-brancas, Colhereiro en Guarda-rios-comum vinden hier een broedplaats of bezoeken het gebied. Je kunt ze van dichtbij bewonderen in twee vogelkijkhutten.

Best to explore on foot. Parking less than 1 km away. Click on the P on the map to go there directly. The area is freely accessible every day from sunrise to sunset. You can make a circular walk of 4 km (shown on the map) that passes the two bird hides.
