acces is very easy, there are three parking possibility all around the lake and the train station is not far away. During summer the Mergulhão-de-crista is breeding openly, or the Garça-real can be seen hunting. There is also a Guarda-rios-comum that shows itself every now and then. In the reed the Rouxinol-grande-dos-caniços is singing happily. During winter all different kind of guests come by e.g. Zarro-comum, Zarro-negrinha, Frisada. The water is not always visible during the walk around the lake, but then forestbirds like different species of tits can be seen.
