The Königsdorfer Schotterteiche consist of a big pond and some smaller ponds. The large pond is widely used for water recreation and swimming, so in summer the big pond is less interesting. Among the birds you can observe in the area are Cisne-vulgar, Zarro-castanho, Abelharuco-comum, Andorinha-do-mar-comum, Papa-amoras-comum, Abetouro-comum, Garça-pequena, Garça-branca-grande, Garça-real, Ganso do Egipto and Cartaxo-comum.
