Descrição
This location comprises beautiful Wandoo and Marri woodland and is a 'go-to' location for the 'hard to find' Western Shrike-tit.
As for nearby Collins Road, this area is believed to be the closest breeding site to Perth for Blue-breasted Fairywren. It also boasts an abundance of Rufous Treecreeper, and you can frequently spot Restless Flycatcher and Western Yellow Robin.
Unless wishing to be restricted to walking along the road themselves birders will need to walk the woodlands 'off track' and often out of sight of recognisable landmarks - use of a compass is advised.
A suggested approach might be to walk south for a few hundred metres from the indicated parking spot, then west to cross Warrahdale Road and continue about 500 metres further west to intersect a well defined (easily seen on the map in satellite view) 4WD track. Then walk generally NNE along this track to regain Warrahdale Road just north of Walker Road.

Wildflowering can be excellent here; especially in late Spring after good winter rains.
A caution, this site lies within a trail-biking area and can be noisy, particularly on weekends.
