Descrição
From November to May the Coodanup foreshore is a great location to search for migratory shorebirds such as Red-necked Stint, Curlew Sandpiper and Great Knot. Check tide time for best periods for the beach mud-flats to be exposed. Over a 150 species have been recorded at this site.
The small wetland shown on the map has seen Australian Spotted Crake and Buff-banded Rail as well as numerous other waterfowl. The surrounding bushland accounts for a good suite of bushbirds.

Note that the Nairns bird hide is always locked and while keys are available on request to the City of Mandurah, it is poorly sited and practically useless.
Note also that the section of the route shown that lies along the Serpentine River can only be undertaken at low tides.
