Descrição
Jermuk Waterfall, also known as Mermaid’s Hair, cascades from a height of over 70 meters, surrounded by rugged cliffs, lush forests, and a fast-flowing river. The mix of rocky outcrops, wooded slopes, and riverbanks creates a rich habitat for various bird species.
The cliffs provide perfect sites for Grifo-comum , often seen soaring overhead, and also for Melro-azul and Milheirinha-de-testa-vermelha. The river attracts Melro-d'água and Alvéola-cinzenta, which forage along the water’s edge. Open skies above the waterfall are also great for spotting passing raptors.
What makes this site special is its dramatic scenery, fresh mountain air, and excellent birdwatching opportunities.
