Opis
The lake itself is beautiful, and provides a home to various ducks, cormorants, grebes, herons, and many small birds. Quite a treat to find them all in the midst of a city. The relatively flat paved path around the lake is 2.8 miles in length, and there is much natural growth along the lake shore. There is als a small island, Duck Island, which is a bird sanctuary and is closed to human access. Common finds in the park are Great Blue Heron, Gadwall, American Wigeon, Pied-billed Grebe, American Coot, Hooded Merganser, Common Merganser, and of course Mallard.
