This is the southern tip of a low lying island next to Barrow-in-Furness, with tidal marsh on one side and open sea on the other. Managed by the Wildlife Trust.

Opis

On this site there's a mixture of rolling grassland, dunes, salt marsh and ponds. The site attracts passerines, waterfowl and waders, including edredon. There's also a seal colony.

Follow the road south from the Jubilee Bridge from Barrow. There's ample parking at the visitor centre and a picnic area (with plenty of wróbel and other small birds). Most of the site itself is accessible only on foot, and often across sand.
