In winter, the water level of the Ermatinger Becken sinks and a large shallow water basin is formed. A large number of waterfowl and waders spend the winter there. The area is always good for surprises. Annually, the following birds are observed in the area: łabędź krzykliwy, łabędź czarnodzioby, kulik wielki, brodziec śniady, rożeniec, biegus zmienny, siwerniak, and many more.
