Opis

The Alter Rhein (Old Rhine) near Diepoldsau is a good birdingplace for the usual european water-birds like zimorodek or perkoz dwuczuby. The area has floodplain-forests, little ponds but also the old river which transformed into to some lakes. Next to a lot of different birds you can also see beavers, snakes, lizards and many other species.

There are parking areas at Lustenau near "Gasthaus am Rohr Lustenau". Click on the P in the map for directions. With a bike it is easier to explore the whole area (~8km).
