Nature reserve on the banks of Lake Vättern with coniferous and deciduous forest. The Röttleån stream also flows through the reserve. A good site for songbirds.

Opis

Västanå Naturreservat has a great variety with pine heath on the top, the deciduous forest, the beach, the valley and the river provide the conditions for a rich birdlife. There are also many nice views and a waterfall here. You can also see resting migratory birds both in the forest and on the water.

Västanå Naturreservat is located 25 km north of the city of Jönköping on the eastern banks of Lake Vättern. There are good parking facilities at the reserve and nice marked trails. Click on a P in the map for directions to a parking.
