Opis
Stockviken is one of the best birding areas on Gotland. It has two different areas: an inland lake ("inre") with a watchtower and a bay ("ytre"). You can see ducks, geese, bielik, białorzytka, terns, reedbirds and waders. Many rare species have been seen here over the years. The area's nesting birds include waders such as krwawodziób, ostrygojad, batalion, kulik wielki, rycyk, szablodziób and biegus zmienny, but also other species such as rybitwa białoczelna, rybitwa wielkodzioba and rybitwa popielata. Especially in spring – from early April to mid-May – but also during autumn – mainly in October – thousands of bernikla białolica can be seen in the area.
