Opis
Stadsjön has wetland areas, forest, meadows, reed beds and river habitats. This variety attracts many birds. Along the hiking trail you can walk or roll straight through wetlands, experience rainforest-like deciduous forest, and look out over the open wet meadows where cows graze. From the newly built lookout tower you look out over the beautiful landscape. If you are lucky, the bielik can come gliding over, or you can hear rokitniczka singing. During spring and autumn, the reserve is visited by large numbers of resting birds. Among the birds you can encounter are Płaskonos, czernica, sikora uboga, gajówka, orzeł przedni, błotniak stawowy, błotniak zbożowy, kruk, pliszka żółta, trznadel, gęś mała, myszołów włochaty, świstun, cyraneczka, gągoł, nurogęś, kukułka, wodnik (zwyczajny), żuraw, kulik wielki, biegus zmienny, słonka, kszyk, dubelt, krwawodziób, łęczak, kwokacz, nur czarnoszyi, rybitwa rzeczna, rybołów, Trzmielojad, kania ruda, dzięciołek, puszczyk zwyczajny, krętogłów, dzięcioł czarny, kobuz, sokół wędrowny, srokosz, świerszczak, pluszcz, słowik szary and podróżniczek.

Via the hiking trail and the approximately 300 m long footbridge, you can get around the Stadssjön nature reserve (see the map). Whether you walk or roll in a wheelchair, you can explore the area. If you also want to take the opportunity to visit the adjacent reserve Lilla älvgången, you only need to cross the new bridge. The trail around Stadssjön is 3.3 km long starting from the car park.
