Opis
Sjötorpasjön is a good place to see wetland birds during much of the year. The surroundings (deciduous forests and farmland) are also interesting. Among the breeders are perkoz dwuczuby, łabędź niemy, błotniak stawowy and in some years bąk,perkoz rdzawoszyi and wąsatka. Other breeders in the neighbourhood are kania ruda , dzięciołek, raniuszek zwyczajny and zaganiacz. During migration periods large flocks of gęgawa , bernikla kanadyjska , krzyżówka and cyraneczka stay at the lake, often including the odd duck or goose species.
From the birding tower you may see several raptors, especially myszołów, myszołów włochaty, kania ruda, kania czarna, rybołów and bielik.
