Opis
Just outside the village of Vegas Altas extensive rice fields start. The fields receive important winter concentrations of żuraw and several species of waders like rycyk, sieweczka obrożna, szczudłak, siewka złota, biegus malutki, kwokacz, batalion, biegus zmienny, brodziec piskliwy, samotnik, kszyk and łęczak. During the migratory passages, you can also see other wintering birds such as podróżniczek, siwerniak or potrzos. Other birds you can spot in the area are dzierzba sródziemnomorska, bengalik czerwony, astryld falisty and dudek. Also many wintering birds of prey (sometimes in high densities) like błotniak stawowy, błotniak zbożowy, kania ruda, kaniuk, drzemlik and uszatka błotna. Best times for a visit are winter and spring, from November to May. From June to October it can be very quiet on the fields.
