North of Valencia, the small river Barranc del Carraixet flows into the Mediterranean Sea. At this spot the stream is densely overgrown with plants and reeds and often many interesting birds can be found here. It is easy to walk or cycle along the banks and observe the birds well from there. Birds you can encounter here are gulls, terns, herons and ducks. For example hełmiatka, bączek, czapla purpurowa, czapla modronosa, ibis kasztanowaty, mewa czarnogłowa, mewa sródziemnomorska LRcdand rybitwa czubata. But also birds like dudek, chwastówka zwyczajna, mnicha nizinna, aleksandretta obrożna and pokrzewka aksamitna. Best time to visit with most birds is winter and spring. But summer still sees enough birds to enjoy the place and for example modrzyk can be spotted very well all year round at the Barranc del Carraixet.
