The hotel grounds of Praia Hotel are good for many introduced species and some common endemics, such as Sao Tome Prinia, Principe Seedeater and Sao Tome Paradise-Flycatcher. Watch for Sao Tome Spinetail overhead (along with Little Swifts and African Palm Swifts) and the occasional White-tailed Tropicbird.

Praia Hotel is a decent place to stay for a few nights, and close to the airport (walkable distance!). There is also the one and only international ATM on the island, about 250m south along the coast road, next to the Omali Lodge.
