Opis
Salinas de Olhão is a very accessible area with nice variety of waders and other aquatic bird species in the area, especially in the winter. Species such as flaming różowy, kulik mniejszy, piaskowiec, biegus zmienny and pliszka żółta can be seen quite close.

The saltpans are situated in the saltmarshes. Once you've parked you can easily enter the area walking or cycling and explore every saltpan that is accessible (some are blocked or there is no way to access without getting kneedeep in the mud). In the northern ones you will find ducks such as the ohar, krzyżówka and krakwa, whereas closer to the lagoon (sea side) you'll find more waders such as the biegus zmienny, piaskowiec, biegus krzywodzioby, sieweczka morska, sieweczka obrożna, kulik mniejszy and szczudłak. A bit further way from the access, to the east, it is very common to find groups of flaming różowy that allow bystanders to get quite close.
