Opis
The Myczkowski Reservoir is a well-known place of concentration of wintering birds. In winter, you can observe large flocks of avifauna associated with the aquatic environment. Mainly ducks and swans, including łabędź niemy, łabędź czarnodzioby, łabędź krzykliwy, świstun, czernica, ogorzałka, cyraneczka, głowienka, bielaczek, gągoł, nur czarnoszyi and nur rdzawoszyi. Due to the fact that the water temperature in the reservoir is slightly higher due to the operation of the Solina hydroelectric power plant, the reservoir does not freeze as quickly as the surrounding reservoirs. This causes a large concentration of thousands of birds mainly in December, January and February.
