The Vondelpark is an oasis with many birds in the middle of the city. You can see common birds like czapla siwa, krzyżówka, łyska, łabędź niemy and bogatka (zwyczajna). But there are also more surprising species such as krogulec, bocian biały, dzięcioł duży and trzcinniczek (zwyczajny). The aleksandretta obrożna can also often be seen in the park.

The park is located in the middle of the city of Amsterdam and is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle or by public transport. From Amsterdam Central Station, tram line 2 runs along the Vondelpark.
