Opis
The "Tichelgaten" is a fairly small natural area near the village of Buren and consists of several small ponds, reedbeds, pastures and small forested areas. Once, this area has been excavated for clay and has been turned into a small natural area since. The area is a good spot for many species of common songbird, woodpecker and small numbers of waterbirds. Frequently sighted species are dzięcioł zielony, kapturka and muchołówka szara. The small ponds and reedbeds are a great spot for trzcinniczek (zwyczajny), perkozek and zimorodek. The small forested area in the west provides good habitat for woodpeckers, like dzięcioł duży and sometimes dzięciołek. On the northern side of the road, the biggest pond is located and provides a great spot for many species of waterbird. In winter, fairly large numbers of czernica and krakwa can be found here. Sometimes, scarcer species like nurogęś and głowienka might show up.
