The Zandmeren is an area around three interconnected sand holes on the Maas in Kerkdriel. The pools were created by sand and gravel extraction.

Opis

From a landscape point of view, a varied area where the presence of water predominates. On the one hand, the river Maas and on the other, 3 lakes with varying vegetation on the banks. This attracts many birds.

Nederlands: De Zandmeren is een gebied rond drie met elkaar verbonden zandgaten aan de Maas bij Kerkdriel. De poelen zijn ontstaan door zand- en grindwinning. Landschappelijk gezien een afwisselend gebied waar de aanwezigheid van water de boventoon voert. Enerzijds de rivier de Maas en anderzijds 3 meren met wisselende begroeiing aan de oevers.
