Opis

Planken Wambuis is a wonderful area for bird watching. It has extensive forests, rolling moors and sandy plains, but there are also meadows and fields. From April to June Planken Wambuis is a paradise for bird watchers. You can encounter flying kruk and bielik looking for cadavers. But also nice forest birds and heather birds such as sosnówka, zniczek, trznadel, lerka, świergotek drzewny, muchołówka żałobna, muchołówka szara, świstunka leśna, lelek, gil, czyż, krzyżodziób świerkowy, pleszka and different types of woodpeckers. There are also many skowronek and in winter it is a place to see srokosz. If you want to see a lot of birds, go out as early as possible. In addition to birds, Planken Wambuis offers a good chance of seeing red deer, wild boars, foxes, roe deer, grazing cattle and wild wild ponies.

Nederlands: Planken Wambuis is een heerlijk gebied om vogels te kijken. Het heeft uitgestrekte bossen, glooiende heidevelden en zandvlaktes, maar er zijn ook weides en akkers.. Van april tot en met juni is Planken Wambuis een paradijsje voor vogelaars. Je kunt vliegende raven en zeearenden tegenkomen die op zoek zijn naar kadavers. Maar ook leuke bosvogels en heidevogels als zwarte mees, vuurgoudhaantje, geelgors, boomleeuwerik, boompieper, bonte vliegenvanger, grauwe vliegenvanger, fluiter, nachtzwaluw, goudvink, sijs, kruisbek, gekraagde roodstaart en verschillende soorten spechten. Er leven ook veel veldleeuweriken en in de winter is het een vaste stek van de klapekster. Ga wel zo vroeg mogelijk op pad als je veel vogels wilt zien. Behalve vogels heb je in Planken Wambuis grote kans om edelherten, wilde zwijnen, vossen, reeën, grazende runderen en wilde wilde pony's te zien.

In the area you can make various signposted walking routes of different length. The route you see on the map is about 7 km long. You can park in the parking lot at Oud Reemst. Click on the P in the map for directions to the parking lot.
