Opis

The breeding wall for brzegówka has been discovered by the birds and is used yearly by a good number of pairs. The pond has often waders like kamusznik , biegus zmienny and krwawodziób . There can be a variety of ducks, like Płaskonos , krakwa and in winter świstun . During migration the area will be visited by pliszka siwa , pliszka żółta (including the rare Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi) and Western Yellow Wagtail (flavissima) ) and świergotek łąkowy.

Nederlands: Een kleine vijver voor steltlopers en eenden tussen twee dijken met een betonnen muur met nestgaten voor brzegówka. De broedmuur voor brzegówka is inmiddels ontdekt door de vogels en wordt jaarlijks door een flink aantal paren gebruikt. De vijver heeft vaak steltlopers zoals kamusznik, biegus zmienny en krwawodziób. Er kan een verscheidenheid aan eenden zijn, zoals Płaskonos, krakwa en in de winter świstun. Tijdens de trek wordt het gebied bezocht door pliszka siwa, pliszka żółta (inclusief de zeldzame Grey-headed Wagtail (thunbergi) en Western Yellow Wagtail (flavissima)) en świergotek łąkowy .

The holes in the Sand Martin wall are closed every winter by volunteers from Vogelwerkgroep Texel (www.vwgtexel.nl), so that the brzegówka can dig its own nest passages again in the spring to breed.
