Opis

The walking route across the Mantingerveld takes you through forest, past juniper berries, sand drifts and heather. Some birds you may encounter along the way are skowronek, kląskawka, białorzytka, gil and if you are very lucky krętogłów.

Nederlands: In dit fraaie natuurgebied zijn verschillende gebieden in de afgelopen jaren samengevoegd zodat er één groot heidelandschap is ontstaan. De wandelroute voert je door bos, langs jeneverbessen, zandverstuivingen en heide. Enkele vogels die je onderweg kunt tegenkomen zijn skowronek, kląskawka, białorzytka, gil en als je heel veel geluk hebt krętogłów.

From the A28 Hoogeveen-Assen: Take the Spier exit. Drive via Wijster and drive through Mantinge towards Meppen. The parking lot is about 1.5 kilometers outside Mantinge on the right, just past Voscheheugte. Via Hoogeveen or Westerbork: Drive to Nieuw-Balinge (N 374, exit Nieuw-Balinge) and follow the signs Dorpshuis. An information corner about nature development has also been set up here. From the parking lot at the village house, follow the Lijsterstraat, turn left to the Mantingerweg. Turn right onto Mantingerweg, follow the white walking route arrows after 300 meters.

Nederlands: Vanaf de A28 Hoogeveen-Assen: Neem afslag Spier. Rijd via Wijster rijdt u door Mantinge richting Meppen. De parkeerplaats ligt ongeveer 1,5 kilometer buiten Mantinge aan de rechterkant, iets voorbij Voscheheugte. Via Hoogeveen of Westerbork: Rijd naar Nieuw-Balinge (N 374, afslag Nieuw-Balinge) en volg de bordjes Dorpshuis. Hier is ook een informatiehoek ingericht over de natuurontwikkeling. Volg vanaf de parkeerplaats bij het dorpshuis de Lijsterstraat, linksaf tot de Mantingerweg. Rechtsaf de Mantingerweg op, na 300 meter de witte wandelroutepijlen volgen. Deze witte wandelroute (9,5 km) is ook ingetekend op de kaart beneden.
