The Rietzuivering (reed water purification complex) is located between the dike and the Marnewaard military training area. A beautiful area with young vegetation, reed beds and lakes. Birds that have been observed in the area include: zimorodek, krętogłów, perkozek, gil, świstunka żółtawa, dziwonia, wilga (zwyczajna), łozówka and zaganiacz.
