Opis

Kattenleger is an area where interesting birds are regularly observed. Despite the close proximity of the A15 motorway and the Betuwe railway line, the reed areas in particular offer a chance for nice species such as bąk and wąsatka. You will almost certainly encounter potrzos, szczygieł, trzcinniczek (zwyczajny) and kokoszka (zwyczajna) but also a chance of wodnik (zwyczajny), błotniak stawowy and perkozek.

Nederlands: Kattenleger is een gebied met rietvelden, weiland en een boomsingel langs Betuwe-spoorlijn waar regelmatig interessante vogelsoorten worden waargenomen. Ondanks nabije aanwezigheid van snelweg A15 en de Betuwe-spoorlijn bieden met name de rietgebieden kans op leuke soorten als bąk en wąsatka. Vrijwel zeker kom je potrzos, szczygieł, trzcinniczek (zwyczajny) en kokoszka (zwyczajna) tegen, maar ook kans op wodnik (zwyczajny), błotniak stawowy en perkozek.

The area is only accessible by bicycle or on foot. You can park on the edge: from Bemmel, drive into the Plakse Uitweg (dead end) and park at the end. Click on the P in the map for directions.
