The Den Inkel forest area is a direct result of the floods of 1953. Den Inkel is located just south of the town of Kruiningen on the Western Scheldt. In the area around Den Inkel you can enjoy walking through the Zeeland landscape. There are various walks mapped out. The circular walk shown on the map is approximately 2 km. Cycling is also an option. Den Inkel is located at cycle junction 90. In addition to the cycle junction route, there are various regional and national cycle routes that run along Den Inkel. Parking is available at the Blauwhoefseweg, among other places.
