Opis

Berbice is originally a 17th century country estate on the Leidseweg in Voorschoten. The park is laid out according to the characteristic English landscape style. The forest is good for watching typical forest birds such as puszczyk zwyczajny, dzięcioł duży, kowalik, pełzacz ogrodowy and zniczek, but you can also see birds like czapla siwa and zimorodek.

Nederlands: Berbice is een van oorsprong 17e eeuwse buitenplaats aan de Leidseweg in Voorschoten. Het park is aangelegd volgens de karakteristieke Engelse landschapsstijl. Het bos is goed voor het kijken van typische bosvogels als bosuil, grote bonte specht, boomklever, boomkruiper en vuurgoudhaan, maar ook diverse soorten mezen, de blauwe reiger en ijsvogel kun je er zien.

Parking is available in the area. Click on the P in the map for directions to a parking lot nearby. Public transport: The area can be reached by bus 45, get off at bus stop Zilverfabriek, Voorschoten. Please note: Berbice is only accessible to members of the Zuid-Hollands Landschap, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. For more information, see the website of the Zuid-Hollands Landschap (see the link below).
