Bergumermeer - Soestpolder has vast reed banks with open water and is a good place for birdwatching. Expected bird species are trzcinniczek (zwyczajny), rokitniczka, wąsatka, wodnik (zwyczajny) but also rybitwa czarna, błotniak stawowy and meadow birds. Due to the wide overview there is also a chance of birds of prey such as rybołów, bielik, sokół wędrowny, kobuz. Different species of ducks rest and forage on the lake.

Located on a cycle path that runs along the power plant. A path and wooden platform lead through the reeds to the tower. Cars are not allowed on the way to the plant.
