Opis
On his expeditions along the coast of Africa in search of a passage to the Indies, the Portuguese Bartolomeus Dias left a number of memorials behind. One of these, a crucifix, was erected on 25 July 1488 not far from present-day Lüderitz in Namibia on a spit of land now called Diaz Point. The area has easy access and gives the opportunity to see many species of seabirds, shorebirds and African Penguin.
